Several options of lifestyle retreats are offered. Personal retreats can be tailor-made according to the need of the individual. More dynamically oriented retreats are suitable for those who wish to expand their self-knowledge and develop skills within the ashram environment. These can be especially rewarding as they integrate one’s active nature with karma yoga (the yoga of action) and offer an opportunity to work closely with the ashram residents, experiencing a more traditional ashram environment.
Often midweek is a good time for a lifestyle retreat, when the centre is quiet and there is time to simply ‘be’. During these periods there is a greater opportunity for solitude, meditation, walking or simply spending time in a beautiful natural environment.
Lifestyle retreats are designed to be flexible in length according to your preference, from a day to a month or more. They are available at any time during the year, other than program free and closed periods.
The lifestyle retreats are open to all levels of yoga experience and are also suitable for newcomers to the retreat centre.
If you can be where you are, and accept things as they are, in that personal adjustment with the environment, with the conditions, states, different forms of behaviour, mentalities, attitudes and actions, you experience a very deep feeling of santosha, contentment, which is the achievement of karma yoga.
